Day 2

Day 2. We got splitted into groups. Other can Wei Jie and Jia Hui, all of us separated into different groups. Its a good thing in my opinion, we are here to experience the college life, we should be more pro-active and interact with people all over the world.

In most of the groups there seem to be a dominant Southeast Asian cliques in them, however my group has a lesser amount of Singaporeans/Malaysians. In my group there are a total of 4.. its quite a big group and pretty much has the most influential power, however the other 6 members are also nice people and of course we gelled almost perfectly with one another. Theres a good mix of people from all around the world, Australia of course, Malaysia,India,Peru and Singapore.

Our mentor is very friendly and enthusiastic, forming the backbone of our group and bonding us together with one another, she makes sure nobody gets left out and is always happy to give us a push in the right direction. She makes a good role model by exuding a type of presence that concur to a healthy atmosphere for learning, bonding and discussion. All the mentors are indeed very warm (not literally) and a definite learning example.

The events today are pretty hyped, Mini Olympics and a Karaoke Session...which i sung my first english song "Im Yours"(excluding national day). An achievement indeed, next i shall aim for Malay songs... Our team underperformed for the Mini Olympics however we scrape ourselves back by earning one of the two honorable mention in the Karaoke Session. A positive result indeed.

Today i have successfully interacted and got to know at least 15 more people, appreciated cultures all around the world. I exercised my limbs in soccer with people around the globe, playing left wing first then right back and finally a well-appreciated goalkeeper position.. okay i'll stop here or else it'll be another long winded paragraph that is quite irrelevant.

Basically i had a great day with my group and i love my performance in goalkeeping despite a long break from the sport. My objective for tomorrow is to get to know everyone, both in my group and out better and enroach my circle of friends. Make it bigger, make it better.

Quote of the day : "Do you know I'm Yours? ( By my group friend, Afiq,a guy, to me. Funny in another context haha~)
