Final post for Trinity Summer School

Well, first thing i am gonna say is that i miss melbourne a lot and the experience of this summer school. I was very reluctant to leave. For me, i feel that the two weeks seems to be very short as we are having so much fun. I could still remember we were just boarding the plane to melbourne.. I miss it so much. I wish i could stay longer there. I hope santa claus could give me a time machine so that i could experience the whole summer school once again.

To be serious, I felt that all of us had learned a lot from the summer school. For example, we learned about ethics during lectures and we learned how to work together with strangers on a project during our stay there. I really want to thank our mentors as they were there to help us out and get us used to our surroundings. They also pulled us up when we were feeling down even though they are busy or tired. I still remember what one of our mentors said, he said that they were there to show us the way, to open the door for us, the potential to be a great leader is in all of us and they were there to help us realise our potential.

I think the debreifing by Miss Low and Miss Tan helped us out in a lot as we get to share our experiences during the day and talk about our feelings and thoughts. This help me out a lot as sharing how i feel and what i did makes me feel better if i was feeling down on that day. I think they should do this for other leadership camps.

Next, I feel that i have changed a lot over these 19 days. I feel that the invisible barrier around me has vanished and i could talk to people more easily and i could participate in more activities. For example, I suggested singing with Jing Yi for Cultural Night, the old me would not have suggested such a thing. I think his is the best change in me, from now on i can make more friends and speak up and give suggestions easily.

Next, i think i can contribute to my cca more by helping next year's sec three to lead my cca. I will help them out in leading our next year's sec one ccca members. I hope that they can become great leaders and than they could help others to become good leaders and the cycle will never stop.

To finish this final post, I think that this summer school experience is a great way to help us grow mentally and help us learn to be independent and teach us to care and look out for each other. If there is another trip like this, i would jump at the chance to go for it again.

Goodbye people :)
